WORK FRONTIERS
From December 1st to 3rd, 2026, at the TRT-MG in Belo Horizonte/MG – Brazil, the “Frontiers of Labor” (FdT) Congress will take place for the first time. This is a free academic event, structured as a congress, with submissions of papers and seminars (roundtables and conferences) with invited speakers. It is an event coordinated with qualified national and international participants, as well as an organizing committee and an international scientific committee, which can be verified through its vast network of researchers, their respective research groups, and the postgraduate programs that these event members represent. The event is organized by PhD holders and the following institutions: State University of Minas Gerais, King’s College London, and the Regional Labor Court of Minas Gerais (TRT-MG).
This event is organized by the Laboratory of Border Poetics (UEMG/CNPq) and held in two TRT-MG venues: the Cultural Center (https://portal.trt3.jus.br/internet/institucional/centro-cultural) and the Judicial School (https://portal.trt3.jus.br/escola). Its program is structured in two interconnected parts: a) a seminar composed of plenary sessions with invited guests; b) a congress with a call for papers using a double-blind review system, with all reviewers holding doctoral degrees from institutions in Brazil and abroad, forming a scientific committee of excellence.
As a congress, the event is organized into Working Groups (WGs) that foster discussion of ongoing or completed research by master’s students, doctoral students, and PhDs. The event is primarily in-person, in Belo Horizonte, with some online activities.
